Holiday Sweet Treats

I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas! Today I am linking up with Michelle at a little bit of this & that for her Rockin' Around the Christmas Dessert Table link-up and showing the sweets I made for my family and friends.

For my co-workers I made three different cookies. The cookies were a Chocolate M&M cookie, Candy Cane Blossoms, and a cookie called Holiday Moments that I found in a cookbook I bought (not pictured). I packaged them in these cute Erin Condren labels and bags I got using a plum district deal I bought.
For some of my friends I made the Snowflake Mix that I had pinned on Pinterest and it was so yummy. You must make it!
I packed it in these cute Holiday themed Chinese take-out boxes I found at Michaels.
Lastly, I made some cake pops! I made them using the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker I bought on Black Friday. It was my first time using the cake pop maker and it was so easy to use! I made vanilla cake pops then dipped them in chocolate and sprinkle Chocolate Mint Crunch over them. So yummy!
I packed them individually and tied three together with ribbon to give to friends.
For fun I tried to make reindeer cake pops but it was a little harder than I expected especially at 10:30 at night. So I only made two.

If you baked any goodies this holiday I think you should link up with Michelle!

Holiday Favorites Link-up : Holiday Playlist

I'm linking up with two of my favorite bloggers: Michelle at a little bit of this & that and Lyndsay at SimplyLyndsay.

I actually really LOVE Christmas music so I was super excited when I saw that this would be a topic for the link-up. I may have 3 different Christmas music playlists on my itunes but I wanted to narrow it down to some of my all time favorites for this post. This list has a little bit of everything in my opinion. Classic Christmas songs, Christmas movies songs, and fun 90s pop Christmas songs.

I love N SYNC's Christmas CD! I always listen to it this time of year. Does anybody remember when they did some Christmas special on the Disney Channel way back when they were popular?

Go join up in the Holiday fun and tell us what's on your holiday playlist!

Friday's Fancies - Come Fly With Me

It's the end of the week and it's time for Friday's Fancies again with the lovely {av} at long distance loving.

(How amazing is that banner? Thanks {av}!!!)

One of the new shows I am watching this fall is Pan-Am. My outfit today is inspired by the show. I love a tweed pattern and think this dress plus a colorful cardigan is perfect for cooler temperatures. I added a large bag which could be used as a carry on to hold your passport and other travel essentials. I finished the outfit with a cute pair of heels that you could easily slip on and off when you go through the security line.
Friday's Fancies- Come Fly with Me

Normally I never wear anything this glamourous when I travel. I would love to go back in time and experience air travel the "Pan-Am" way instead of the Southwest way (there's nothing wrong with Southwest service, I usually just don't like Southwest passengers). Head over to long distance loving and create your own Friday's Fancies to share with {av} and the rest of us!

First Time Pinning

I am linking up for my very first "Oh, How Pinteresting!" hosted by the lovely Michelle!

google

I am definitely a pinterest newbie. I have recently become obsessed though and I hope I'm pinning things correctly. I am still getting the hang of things but if you would like to follow me click here.

Since it finally feels like fall around here (it's been raining the past couple days!) I thought my pins should be fall themed.

I must try to make this: Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate. It sounds delish!

I must make this too: cinnamon pumpkin pull apart bread!

Some of my favorite fall outfits!

This is true!

Friday Fancies

Hi there! I have been way MIA on the blog but of course there is no better way to get back into blogging than joining a link up. Since it's Friday, I am linking up with {av} for a fall inspired outfit. If I had an unlimited budget, I would definitely have this entire outfit in wardrobe.

Sweet Tooth Sunday

A Little Bit of This and That

I'm linking up with Michelle for Sweet Tooth Sunday!
I wanted to share the goodies I baked for my department at work. Every Monday we have staff meetings and once a month one person brings in treats for the whole department to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. August is my month even though there are no celebrations.

I baked lemon bars (from a box), oreo brownies (from a box), and red velvet brownies (homemade).

Boob Tube Babble

I'm linking up with Neely for Boob Tube Babble today!

Boob Tube Babble
For me, summertime is usually a break from television. I don't watch nearly as much tv in the summer as I do during the rest of the year. The only shows I really watch are SYTYCD and Big Brother. I also try to watch Real Housewives but usually I'll just watch them on repeats.

Come fall there are several new shows I really want to watch.

1. New Girl on Fox
Zooey Deschanel is one of my favorites. I love her in Elf. I think this will be funny and I love the concept that she lives with guys because I could totaly see myself moving in with guy friends.
2. 2 Broke Girls on CBS
It's a classic "Odd Couple" concept. Two girls working as waitresses, one former Park Avenue heiress who is now broke and one tough Brooklynite, learn to live and work together. Michael Patrick King is behind this show and he was also behind all of our's favorite show, Sex and the City.
3. Good Christian Belles on ABC

Another SATC "alum" is behind this show as well. Darren Star, creator and writer for SATC, is an executive producer for this show starring Leslie Bibb as recently divorced single mother of two children, returning to Dallas, where she grew up. The adorable Kristin Chenoweth also stars in the show and with that picture of her below how could you not want to watch?
4. Pan Am on ABC
Right off the bat, all I can think of when I see the above poster is one of my favorite movies "Catch Me If You Can." The 60s are very hot right now with the success of Mad Men. I'm not sure if this show will be any good but I will definitely tune in to relive the 60s era.
Are there any new shows you are looking forward to in the fall? Or maybe any old shows you think I should check out? Go link up with Neely and let us know!

Double the Fun & Fashion- Friday Fancies

Are you ready for another edition of Friday Fancies with {av}? This week's theme was red. When I read the theme I immediately knew exactly what type of top I wanted to build my outfit around. When I searched on Polyvore, I found two amazing tops so instead of making one complete outfit (with accessories) I thought I would make two basic outfits (without accessories)! Double the fun and fashion!

Rockin' Red - Friday Fancies

The day look pairs Clube Bossa Velour Short White Mini Skirt with a red Lanvin One Shoulder Blouse. I love the tie belt on the skirt and the detail on the shirt. I'm thinking I would pair this outfit with a pair of brown leather wedges.

For the night outfit, I paired J Brand white capri jeans with this gorgeous Vionnet Draped asymmetric silk-crepe top (that is only $1,010). I love the flow of this top. I'm not sure what shoes I would wear this outfit, maybe silver TB Revas?

I would love it if you went to {long distance loving} and "liked" my Friday Fancies. Hope you dolls have a fabulous weekend! xoxo
