one Tree Hill

Last night was the finale of One Tree Hill. I know some of you watch the show and there is a small survey going around and I thought I would do that (I skipped some of the questions). This will be my one One Tree Hill post.

First let’s talk about the finale. I actually really loved it. Of course I cried but they were tears of happiness. I think the two episodes prior to the finale had already pretty much wrapped up the major storylines of the season so all there was left to do was to celebrate and reflect. I had so many favorite parts of the episode, if you haven’t watched it yet skip this part.

I loved the speech Haley gave at Tric in the beginning because it was like she was personally talking to each one of us about watching their journey. I also loved all the little nods to things in the show’s history: the Cracker Jack box & bracelet, Felix, water balloons, Bevin! (and her reference to marrying Tim!), the brick in the wall, and there being only one Tree Hill. The scene where Logan tells Clay “you’re already my dad, Dad” melted my heart and basically any scene with Logan in it was great, he is too adorable! I loved loved loved the scene at the rivercourt with Nathan and Jamie. Nathan and Haley kissing in the rain, enough said.

A huge highlight for me was having Gavin DeGraw perform at Tric (I already knew this was going to happen though thanks to Twitter) and having all the characters sing along to “I Don’t Wanna Be”. I found myself singing along as well. The ending was perfect having the 3 original main characters on the show do the final voiceovers while “One Tree Hill” by U2 played in the background. Mark Schwahn did a wonderful job for the fans.

Favorite Male Character: Nathan. Mainly because James Lafferty is so hot. But besides his great looks, he has an amazing heart and his love for his family is so strong and whole-hearted.

Favorite Female Character: Haley. She is just so real and sweet and loving.

Favorite Couple: Nathan and Haley.

Favorite friendship: Lucas and Haley.

Favorite Actor: James Lafferty and Chad Michael Murray.

Favorite Actress: Bethany Joy Lenz

Favorite Secondary Character: Jake Jagielski

Favorite Season: Probably season 3. I actually didn’t watch the first two seasons originally. I started watching it one summer night at college when I was in my apartment alone and there was nothing else on tv.

Favorite Episode: I have lots. I like the cheerleading competition episodes, the Boy Toy episode, and the prom in Honey Grove episode.

Favorite Quote: “Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes, a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment... every part of it... will live on forever” Lucas says this when they are at the cheerleading competition and they mess up and just start dancing around.

Favorite Song played on OTH: “More Than Anyone” by Gavin DeGraw at Nathan & Haley’s wedding reception.

Least Favorite Male Character: Surprisingly Keith Scott. I think he was a great uncle to Lucas but there was always something about him that I didn’t like. Remember when he was going to marry Jules?!

Least favorite Female Character: Again surprisingly, Brook Davis. I think she was a complicated girl who felt alone but tried to masked it too much.

Least favorite Couple: Deb and Skills.

Least favorite friendship: Brooke and Haley.

Least favorite secondary character: Millie, she was too annoying for me. Also Alex.

Least favorite season: Probably 7, I had a hard time adjusting to no Lucas or Peyton.

All-time favorite One Tree Hill scene: The scene where Nathan is about to shoot the winning basket then looks over at Haley and smiles and he makes the basket without looking.

Goodnight, Tree Hill.

DWTS Premiere

Monday night marked the return of one of my must see shows on television...Dancing With the Stars! I can't believe it is in its 14th season!

I was most excited for this season since one of my favorite musicians, Gavin DeGraw, is on. Unfortunately he is on the bottom of the leaderboard but I blame that on a bad song selection and weird choreography.

My favorites of the night in no particular order were:

Roshon & Chelsie - Basically I love Chelsie and she can do no wrong in my eyes but Roshon was pretty good. He did have some weird hip-hop movements in there so hopefully he will be able to control his body in the ballroom dances.

Donald & Peta - I have always loved Donald Driver since he is on one of my favorite football teams! I thought he did well and I loved his energy/enthusiam. Also I would like to wake up tomorrow and have Peta's body. Ok, thanks!

Gladys & Tristan - She moved so well and I loved all the little synced movements. It wasn't the best technically but it was a very enjoyable performance. I think she can go far. Also love Tristan and his cute Irish accent!

Jaleel & Kym - In my opinion I think this was the best dance of the night. Kym always has amazing choreography and Jaleel just made it look so easy. I would say he is a front runner for sure.

Honorable mention:
Sherri & Val - Cute, fun dance. Love Sherri's spirit.
William & Cheryl - He is hot but it didn't seem like he did a lot of actually dancing; Cheryl seemed to do the majority of it.

How many of you watched Monday? Who are your favorites so far?

Boob Tube Babble

I'm linking up with Neely for Boob Tube Babble today!

Boob Tube Babble
For me, summertime is usually a break from television. I don't watch nearly as much tv in the summer as I do during the rest of the year. The only shows I really watch are SYTYCD and Big Brother. I also try to watch Real Housewives but usually I'll just watch them on repeats.

Come fall there are several new shows I really want to watch.

1. New Girl on Fox
Zooey Deschanel is one of my favorites. I love her in Elf. I think this will be funny and I love the concept that she lives with guys because I could totaly see myself moving in with guy friends.
2. 2 Broke Girls on CBS
It's a classic "Odd Couple" concept. Two girls working as waitresses, one former Park Avenue heiress who is now broke and one tough Brooklynite, learn to live and work together. Michael Patrick King is behind this show and he was also behind all of our's favorite show, Sex and the City.
3. Good Christian Belles on ABC

Another SATC "alum" is behind this show as well. Darren Star, creator and writer for SATC, is an executive producer for this show starring Leslie Bibb as recently divorced single mother of two children, returning to Dallas, where she grew up. The adorable Kristin Chenoweth also stars in the show and with that picture of her below how could you not want to watch?
4. Pan Am on ABC
Right off the bat, all I can think of when I see the above poster is one of my favorite movies "Catch Me If You Can." The 60s are very hot right now with the success of Mad Men. I'm not sure if this show will be any good but I will definitely tune in to relive the 60s era.
Are there any new shows you are looking forward to in the fall? Or maybe any old shows you think I should check out? Go link up with Neely and let us know!

Dance Time

It's Wednesday.
It's the Summer.
That can only mean one thing:
So You Think You Can Dance is on tonight!
I can't believe I haven't posted about this show before especially since the season is almost over. :( This is one of my favorite shows but I am guilty of often missing episodes but luckily YouTube keeps me updated. Because I have no life I will often rewatch all of my favorite routines on YouTube. I have enjoyed this season but I feel like there haven't been a lot of memorable routines or rountines I just love. I started watching this show during the season finale of season 3. Here are my favorite seasons in rank with my favorite dancers from each:
1. Season 4
Chelsie!
 Katee
Joshua & Twitch
2. Season 3
 Lacey & Neil!
Pasha & Anya!
3. Season 5
Jeanine
Janette
Brandon
Ade
4. Season 7
Lauren & Kent
5. Season 2
Dmitry!
Heidi & Travis
6. Season 8

Caitlynn & Clarice
Jess & Marko
I am pulling for Marko this season or Sasha. I think Melanie is an amazing dancer but I feel like she hasn't been challenged this season.

I didn't watch Seasons 1 and 6 except for maybe a couple routines on youtube therefore I don't have favorites from those seasons.

I love this show and Dmitry so much I bought this....

I have done it a few times and it is actually a lot of fun.

One my other favorite things about this show is Ms. Cat Deeley!
She is always looking fab and I love her attitude. I hope she wins the emmy for reality tv show host!

I'll be tuning in tonight!

Monday Musings

Here we are again at Monday, the least favorite day of the week. I had a very uneventful weekend which I actually was glad about. I had nothing scheduled so I could just relax and take it easy. On Saturday, I went to this new cupcake shop because I had bought a Living Social deal ($20 for $10). With that deal, we were able to buy 6 normal sized cupcakes, each was $3.25. They were alright but definitely not worth that much for its size. I had the Caribbean cupcake which was banana and pineapple. It smelled so tropical and made me feel like I was in Hawaii. Saturday night I stayed in and watched SNL with Justin Timberlake. He is usually really funny on this show. I credit that to his MMC background. Lady Gaga was the musical guest and joined him in what I thought were the two funniest skits.

My favorite!

I have a love/hate feeling towards this one since it "features" Chris Kirkpatrick and I feel it was a dig at N SYNC and since I am a huge fan of the group I can't be having any member being made fun of. But it was still hilarious.

Sunday morning was church with my mom and then I went to Target to buy a Wii since the price finally dropped on it. I may be one of the last people to buy one since Nintendo is suppose to announce a new console in June. But I got the one with Mario Kart and it is so fun. I played it for an hour yesterday.  I ordered a couple of more games online and I can't wait for them to get here. Sunday afternoon I took a long but welcome nap.

Sunday night we watched the Celebrity Apprentice finale. I was pulling for John Rich. Not only do I like him better, I thought he did a better job than Marlee did the whole season so I am glad he won.

During Celebrity Apprentice I was flipping between the Billboard Awards. Did anybody catch this awkward kiss between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber? Am I the only one over the age of 17 to care?
She seems way too old for him even though I think she is actually just one year older than him. She was looking very mature for her age and demographic but she still looked good.

Tonight is part one of the season finale for Dancing With the Stars. I'm so sad it's over. I really love this show and it's craziness. I am pulling for Hines and Kirstie. I am hoping that Chelsea does not win. But that may have more to do with my feelings towards her horrible partner, Mark, than her actual dance ability. If you're watching who are you rooting for? If you don't watch, could I convince you to vote for Hines or Kirstie?

Guilty Pleasure: Laguna Beach

I have a ton of guilty pleasures. Most of them are the shows I watch. There are a ton that I watch currently but one of my favorite "old" guilty pleasures is Laguna Beach.
I have to admit that I actually own season 1 & 2 on DVD. It is so fun seeing how "LC" grew up to become Lauren. It actually blows my mind that Stephen is an actor now on One Tree Hill! I was always rooting for the two of them to be together. But I guess they were better off not being together so they could each pursue something else.
I love how the editors would edit the scenes to make us think certain things were going on behind the scenes. Who could forget the gem that is Kristin Cavallari? She was the perfect villian for the show.
This show provided me hours of entertainment. I remember how they tried to keep the series going with new kids from Laguna Beach and even went to a different city, Newport Harbor, but nothing could ever be as good as the original. Oh Laguna,  I miss you...

Fringe & Rhinestones Can Only Mean One Thing...

Dancing With the Stars is Back!

This is seriously one of my favorite shows. Each season I usually have a celebrity that I like so I root for them but this season there isn't really anybody I am a huge fan of. I also like certain pros more than others so I sometimes I will vote for the pro more than the celebrity.

Here are five of my favorites celeb-pro dances in no particular order. For all the pairings I included here I like most of their performances. It was hard to pick just five but these are some of the best in my opinion.

If you love DWTS and you haven't already done so, after every show you need to go to EW.com for Annie Barrett's recap. She is hilarious and totally "gets" the show. Happy viewing everybody!

Greek Finale

One of my favorite shows currently on television is ending tonight.

I started watching this show because the DVDs were on sale at Target and bought them. I watched the all the episodes of that "chapter" and fell in love. It is such a easy going show and you can probably related to something from each character. Of course Spencer Grammer is so adorable in the show as Casey and you either want her to be with Cappie or Evan. Personally, I like Evan because Cappie seems too childish for Casey. Rusty, Dale, Calvin, and Rebecca were freshmen when the show started and have really grown into their own. I think that the show could have gone on for a little while longer with the four of them as the leads but I know a lot of the fans love the Casey-Cappie-Evan triangle.

The thing I am most sad about (besides the show ending) is how it will end. I felt last week's episode left much to be desired and I can't see how the writers will wrap everything up in 1 final hour. I'm glad that there is a series finale though because a lot of my favorite shows get cancelled and I never get a proper goodbye. One of my favorite finales ever was the Dawson's Creek finale. It was kinda a mini-movie since it was 2 hours long but I felt like the story of the whole series came together for one last time and gave the viewers closure. I fear with Greek that they will just solve all the problems so easily and then that will be it. I'm sure I will still enjoy the episode though because it is never too serious and maybe that's why things on the show will wrap up easily in the last hour.

My giveaway ends tonight at 11:59 so if you haven't enter yet, it's not too late!!

Flashback Fridays - Kids Incorporated

I'm linking up for Flashback Fridays up with Beth at Sweet Bef's for Flashback Friday!

One of my absolutely favorite tv shows as a kid was Kids Incorporated.

If you are not familiar with the show it was this wholesome series about a group of kids who were in a band and performed at The Place. Of course they dealt with the usual kid drama and every issue was solved in the 30 minute program. One of the best things about the show was its theme song.

If you didn't figure it out, Stacy Ferguson grew up to be Fergie! The show also produced such stars as Jenniifer Love Hewitt (when she was just know as Love Hewitt) and Mario Lopez. The show had a revolving cast of kids but Stacy was on it the longest. I miss wholesome shows like this one.

This clip shows an adorable little Stacy, awesome 80s fashion, and Mario Lopez on the drums!

Do any of you remember this show?
Hope you all have a great weekend!
