Holiday Favorites Link-up : Holiday Playlist

I'm linking up with two of my favorite bloggers: Michelle at a little bit of this & that and Lyndsay at SimplyLyndsay.

I actually really LOVE Christmas music so I was super excited when I saw that this would be a topic for the link-up. I may have 3 different Christmas music playlists on my itunes but I wanted to narrow it down to some of my all time favorites for this post. This list has a little bit of everything in my opinion. Classic Christmas songs, Christmas movies songs, and fun 90s pop Christmas songs.

I love N SYNC's Christmas CD! I always listen to it this time of year. Does anybody remember when they did some Christmas special on the Disney Channel way back when they were popular?

Go join up in the Holiday fun and tell us what's on your holiday playlist!

Birthday/Thanksgiving Recap

Thank you to everybody who wished me a happy birthday last week! I am so glad to know so many great people through blogging and twitter! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend.

I was very blessed for my birthday and received my first pair of TOMS as well as Cuisinart Stand Mixer among other things. As a birthday present to myself I bought some things from Vineyard Vines. I got these lounge pants and they are so comfy and cute.

I am totally lame at taking pictures so I don't have any to show of the yummy Thanksgiving dinner I ate but it was all sooo good! Friday I made some Baked Mac & Cheese to serve with the leftover turkey we had.

I was going to go shopping on Black Friday but after my friend texted me that she couldn't find any parking at the WalMart near my house so I decided to skip the crowds and just do all my shopping online. I got a bunch of stuff from Kohl's and a lot of DVDs from Amazon.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was seeing USC crush our crosstown rivals fUCLA. We shut them out 50-0!

All I can hope is that this guy comes back next year so we can try to win a National Championship.

I love that the holiday season is upon us! I wish I had used this past weekend to do more decorating. I have a ton of fun holiday themed things that I want to do. Can't wait to show you guys!

A year older

One of my favorite days of the year is here, it's my birthday! I had written a fun birthday post a while ago when I linked up with Michelle. Unfortunately I have to work. I have either taken the day off of work or school for like the past 9 years but my job now won't let us take any vacation until December 16th.

I got my coupon for a free Starbucks drink on your birthday in the mail last week so I will be stopping there on my way to work.

I love this subway art! It would be so cute to put that out for birthdays.

Can't wait to eat yummy cake and make a wish!

Erin Condren!

I know so many of us have the fab life planners from Erin Condren so I wanted to show mine off. I love it so much! I got it for a pretty good price because I had originally thought the $50 price tag was too much. I also bought the $25 Plum District deal worth $50 and will be getting some holiday gift labels and notepads that will match my planner!

Hope everybody had a nice weekend. It was a relaxing weekend filled with shopping and football watching for me. I bought some supplies for things I want to make that I saw on pinterest for the holidays. I have kinda been on a shopping ramage. This happened last year where I buy so much during the holiday season. There are just so many sales going on right now!

I was soooo happy my Trojans pulled off the "upset" against Oregon. I put upset in quotes because USC was ranked 18 before Saturday. But it was such a nail biter coming down to the final seconds of the game. College football has so many exciting moments, how could you not love it?

I love this video and I wanted to share it with you. Even if you're not a USC fan it is still a great video.

Weekend Recap

Friday night we went to see Dierks Bentley! He was playing in San Jose with Jerrod Neiman and the Eli Young Band. It was a great show! I wasn't a big fan of his before but after I saw him in August with Luke Bryan I really started liking him. I even made a playlist on Spotify called "Dierks Bentley Concert Prep"! The venue was a really small auditorium with an open floor and it was interesting to watch couples dance. I have determined that it is cute when couples dance at country concerts when the guy will dip and spin the girl around and it is not cute when they are like grinding up against each other and touching each other in places I don't need to see. There was a mix of both at this show. But Dierks was amazing and we had a good time.

Before the show we went to this place called Iguanas which we saw on the show Man vs Food. the guy on the show had something called a Burritozilla which is 5 pound 18 inch burrito. I just had the regular super burrito and it was alright. I perfer the burritos from my "home" Mexican take out restaurant. But Iguanas was voted #67 on the Travel Channel's 101 Tastiest Places to Chow Down in the Nation. I also thought I would unlock a certain badge on foursquare by going there but apparently I need to go to three place that Man vs Food has been.

Saturday was a big day. Earlier in the week I was looking at the badges available on foursquare and I saw an ESPN College GameDay badge. I knew that College GameDay was going to be Palo Alto at Stanford and I really wanted that badge so I thought maybe I would just go to Game Day but not go to the game. The more I thought about it the more I want to go the actual game. I know my love for USC is apparent on the blog and if you follow me on twitter but one thing you don't know is that Stanford is a family favorite. My brother and dad love the school. We have gone to the USC at Stanford game for the last three times USC has played at Stanford (they play here in even years) When I was little we had season tickets and one of my most prized possesion is this....
(my dad got this for me when he went to a game, I think I was in the 3rd grade (when were trolls popular?))

I had convinced my brother to go to the game with me after I found some reasonably priced tickets on craigslist. It was fun going to the game with my brother but not fun watching Stanford lose. I would have much rather have had Oregon lose. I was able to unlock the GameDay badge and it is one of my favorites!

A couple pictures from the game...
Standford Stadium. It was so weird being at a college football game that didn't have USC in it.

Kirk and Brent are in the green room! BTW, I love Kirk or Herbie as he is affectionately known as.

I love to hate the Stanford Band. They are just all sorts of wrong. The Tree is kinda funny though. The band's pregame routine had to do with the Madden video game so here the Tree is playing Madden with some band members.

Stanford's captains. Andrew Luck is #12. Sad to see his Heisman hopes go down in one game.
One of the interesting things I saw that day was the Oregon Duck out of his costume. We were walking to meet up with one of my brother's friends and we walked by Oregon's cheerleaders and I saw this guy with them carrying a big green bag so I have to assume that inside that bag was the costume. I mean what else could have been in such a large bag that was being carried by a shorter guy?

I also have a love-hate relationship with the Oregon Duck. I mean he is a rival so I have to hate him but he is pretty funny when he's on GameDay and also his ESPN SportsCenter commercial is hilarious. Hope everybody is having a good week so far! xoxo

Hello There

I haven't blogged in almost a month! I'm glad you are all still following me. But I blame work for my lack of posts.  I may blog more about that later but I want to stay positive in this post today so I going to link up for WILW.

1. I am loving Spotify. It is the greatest thing I was not using until Monday. I highly recommend it if you love listening to music and are tired of Pandora. Don't get me wrong I still love the element of surprise with Pandora but if I want to listen to a specific song I turn to Spotify.

2. I am loving couponing and sales. It is always great to save money and there are a lot of good coupons out right now for baking essentials since the holiday season is upon us. Last night I clipped coupons and then made a bit of a strategy of what I would buy.

3. I am loving Andy & Tommy on this season's Amazing Race. I hope they end up winning the whole race.

4. I am loving weather lately. It has finally gotten cooler and cold here. I can comfortably wear sweaters and coats which is good since I have a bunch of new ones.

5. I am loving the Skinny Peppermint Mocha at Starbucks. It tastes so good and I don't feel so bad when I get one.

6. I am loving that it is two weeks until my birthday and then Thanksgiving is the next day!

FYI, I have been reading all your blogs even though I have not been commenting. I am still reading but I have just been doing my catch up reading on the weekends. But hopefully when I can start getting home at a decent hour on the weeknights I can comment more.
