OOTD

OOTD 7/31/11

Hi bloggies! I thought I would make an OOTD for today's post. Today was day two of my nephew's league swim meet. He did so well! He got three best times and did pretty well in his fourth race. I was a proud aunt. :) It was actually cold in the morning but once the sun came out it was warm. Hope everybody is having/had a great weekend! xoxo

Friday Fancies - Dancing the Night Away

I'm linking up this week for Friday Fancies with {av} of {long distance loving}.
My inspiration this week was a night out dancing. I picked this DVF dress because I love the color and I thought it has fun texture to it. I love the idea booties but I doubt I would ever be able to pull them off in real life but I love how the add some edge to this look. They just so happen to be DVF as well. What outfit would be complete without accessories? I picked a fun cocktail ring and some great dangle earrings which would be shown off if you put your hair up in this great messy bun. I felt this hairstyle is perfect so your hair is out of your face and off your neck to keep you cool while you are dancing the night away. To complete the look I add a black quilted clutch mainly because I can't get enough of quilted purses.
Night Out

If you like my outfit, please go like it on long distance loving! Have a great weekend! xo

Jason Aldean Concert!

Last night, my sister and I headed to Shoreline to see Mr. Jason Aldean. We decided to pay $20 for VIP parking which was the best decision ever. When we went to Tim McGraw it took us an hour to get out of the parking lot, last night it only took us 15 minutes. We got there early enough to catch both opening acts.

First up was Thompson Square!

Next was Clay Walker! I love his song "She Won't Be Lonely Long"

Another reason why we thought it would be a good idea to get the VIP parking was because the show was SOLD OUT! Right before Jason went on stage I looked behind me and this is what I saw...just 22,000 other country fans.

There was this DJ that played right before Jason went on.
He was so good and got the crowd pumped for this guy!

It was a great show! I know some of my pictures look the same but I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I thought I would post both.
And for your viewing pleasure...a little video I shot. It's best if you load the whole video first and then watch it.

Next concert coming up is Mrs. Blake Shelton aka Miranda Lambert in three weeks!

WIPT

Time for What I'm Playing Thursday! Go Link up with Sarah Elizabeth!
Photobucket

First up is an old song. Recently it has been featured in the previews for "Friends With Benefits", JT sings a little bit of while in bed with Mila because she wants to hear some Third Eye Blind. He starts to sing this song and she tells him it isn't Third Eye Blind.

Anyways, this song always reminds me of my 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. and Virginia. I bought the CD because I was in love with this song (I remember the rest of the CD wasn't that great.) I remember listening to this song on my Discman(!) while sitting on one of those big tour buses after one of the other girls on the trip turned on the A/C because it was ridiculously humid outside.

The other song I have been obsessed with recently like I have it on repeat all day long is this one by Matt Nathanson. I saw him a few weeks ago at Summerthing and I get to see him again when he comes with Train & Maroon 5!

I downloaded this song for free on itunes. Today my favorite radio station, Alice 97.3, is letting you download one of his other songs, Faster, for free. They have one free song download a day. If you want to download "Faster" for free click Here

Seeing Graham & Getting Marley

Hope everybody had a good weekend! I didn't do too much except for on Friday night, my sister and I went to see one of my favorite musicians, Graham Colton, play in the city. He was playing at this place that I have driven past my whole life but have never gone into so it was quite exciting. He was playing at Hotel Utah which has this little performing area that was pretty cozy. When we got there all the seats were taken so we had to stand, NBD except for the fact that I had worn my cute Madden Girl boots that hurt.

Graham played for I think an hour. It was a nice acoustic set. Afterwards he was staying to sell CDs and sign them. Originally I wasn't going to get anything but I needed to sit down before we walked to the car because my feet were in so much pain. Graham started to sell the CDs right in front of where we sat down so we proceeded to watch everybody buy there CDs and talk to Graham. It was interesting people watching. Once the line died down we decide to get our pictures with him and have him autograph our tickets and I bought one of his EPs. I have seen him 4 times and each time I have had him autograph something so I really needed to get something signed.

I bought the following clutch from Marley Lilly on Thursday and it came in the mail today (Monday). It was so fast! I was not expecting it especially since it had to cross the entire country. But isn't it totes adorbs? It reminds me of a mini Longchamp clutch. I definitely recommend this product. I may even buy a few more.

They're Here!

They're here!
And by they I mean William and Kate. And by here I mean L.A.
They were in Calgary earlier today looking adorable.
Pictures of their arrival. Love the yellow dress perfect for summer!

I think she looks so cute in the next picture!
Can't we all related to this happening to you after you've done your hair?
I love how genuine William is with all the people he meets.

Later in the day, they went to the Calgary Stampede. I had previously said I have always been on Team William over Team Harry. He is looking good in his cowboy attire! He looks very manly! Kate looks adorable as always.
Here is the dress she wore on their departure. I love her hairstyle.
 Good Bye Canada!
Hello LA!

I am definitely obsessed as I was watching the live stream of them arriving at LAX on my computer at work. I also made this pictures from screen prints. #ineedhelp #royalobsessed
Kate looking fab again!
I can't wait to see what she is wearing tomorrow to the BAFTA gala and the polo match which for a minute I seriously considered going to. It only cost $400 and $375 was tax deductible.  I reconsidered. I'll just enjoy the pictures of them instead. Have a great weekend all! xoxo

Where Is This Week Going?

How are my bloggers tonight?

I can't believe it's already Wednesday night! Not that I'm complaining that the week is almost over. I just got home from my nephew's swim meet. It was hot out so I had a Jamba Juice for dinner. #dontjudge There was this group of teenagers sitting behind me that were so annoying. I really hope my friends and I weren't like that when we were 17/18. One of the girls was saying some bad words and one of the teen's parents was sitting with them. I know a classy girl doesn't swear but is it appropriate for people to curse in front of their parents? Maybe I am just old-fashioned? Somebody let me know. Up side of the meet: cute boy in boat shoes! :)

Yesterday we had to do inventory at work and it was so exhausting! I was so sore! I counted over 4,000 little patches. I wanted to leave early today since all the bosses had left early for a meeting but my officemate stayed 10 minutes later than she was going to and I felt weird leaving before her since I got there after her. I left a few minutes after she did but really only left 10 minutes before I was supposed to so it wasn't exciting leaving early.

The majority of the weekend I spent in my pool since it was in the 90s and 100s!
On Independence Day I did bake these yummy goodies!
